We’ve always wanted one of these in our lineup—BMW’s R18 is a true standout, thanks to its unmistakable engine design and bold presence.

At the heart of the R18 is BMW’s mighty 1,802cc “Big Boxer” engine—the largest boxer twin the brand has ever produced for a motorcycle. This two-cylinder powerhouse is all about character: it’s torquey, rumbling, and purpose-built for smooth, low-end grunt. The exposed shaft drive and visible pushrods evoke the spirit of the legendary 1930s R5, giving it an authentic vintage vibe.

But this particular R18 isn’t your standard model—it comes with a few desirable upgrades, including a comfortable double seat for a pillion passenger and the eye-catching Chrome Pack.

What’s in the Chrome Pack?

Also known as the Chrome Design Option or part of the Option 719 series, the Chrome Pack enhances the R18’s classic cruiser aesthetic by replacing standard components with brilliant high-polished chrome. It includes:

• Chrome rearview mirrors

• Polished chrome clutch and brake levers

• Chrome-finished brake and clutch fluid reservoir covers

• Chrome engine housing covers (including the cylinder head and intake trim)

• Chrome shaft drive and rear axle drive covers

• Optional chrome handlebar clamps and risers (varies by region)

In addition to the chrome accents, this bike also features the blacked-out engine finish, giving it a sleek and premium contrast compared to the standard silver engine setup.

We sourced this R18 from its one and only owner in Sebring, Florida. As you can see from the photos and video, it’s been exceptionally well cared for—garage-kept since new and only ridden in dry conditions. It’s as close to showroom condition as you can get, with zero corrosion and stunning attention to detail.

Since arriving with us, the bike has been fully serviced using genuine BMW parts, including a fresh oil and filter change.
